The two systems are connected via Xero API (Advanced program interface) which controls the data between the two systems and defines how they behave together. Clients who self-manage are less likely to encounter problems compared to those that manage for 3rd parties.
That is because they simply have to handle the tenant’s statement and are simply posting rents to Xero The client who manages for 3rd parties will have a steeper learning curve as they post owner statements and most of the issues that arise are because the balance on these statements to do not balance with their counterpart on Xero. For this reason, understanding how the two systems work is paramount to avoid problems and enjoy the user experience.
If the Arthur team has not onboarded the client then it is likely the client will be unaware of the nuances of such a relationship and if unfamiliar with Xero the likelihood is they will cause issues for themselves. Our onboarding service includes 4 hours of training and we highly recommend this approach.
