This article is linked to Understanding automations. Arthur Online offers out-of-the-box automation to assist with the chasing of late rent from tenants across three separate automation triggers:
1) Late rent 14 days
2) Late rent 21 days
3) Late rent 7 days
Step 1 Go to preferences > Automation and navigate to the 'Rents' section
Step 2 Locate the three triggers of automation above. Note that you can click into each trigger and see two actions associated:
- Email tenants (Send Message)
- Notification for tenants (Send Notification)
Step 3 Click 'Edit' into each example; here, you have complete autonomy over the content of the email, and can untick 'Action is active and will run' if you do not wish for Arthur to trigger this automation.
Review the relevant fields and don't forget to click 'Save Action' when you are ready:
PLEASE NOTE: THIS AUTOMATION WILL ONLY RUN FOR TENANCIES WHERE IT IS MANUALLY SWITCHED ON.
To check this, navigate to a tenancy in Arthur > 'Edit tenancy' tab. Scroll towards the bottom of the page, where you can tick or untick 'Send Automated Late Rent emails to tenants'. As a default option, this setting will be switched off:
Step 4 Should you wish to view the logs of each trigger, you can click the 'Logs' button and see which emails have been sent the relevant content. Alternatively, navigate to Preferences > Email and SMS History. Here you can view all of the emails triggered as required.
